Notes

  • Performance is based upon 60 Hz and laboratory ambient conditions of 23.9°C (75°F) with 50% relative humidity, and may vary slightly on 50 Hz power or at other temperature and humidity levels. Thermal Shock Chambers are designed for use under normal laboratory operating conditions.
  • It is Thermotron’s understanding that the Thermal Shock Chamber will be used in a non-hazardous environment. The test chamber is not designed for use with or for the purpose of processing hazardous materials. If hazardous materials are involved, please consult the factory for an alternative quote for a properly designed unit.
  • Climate Chambers are not designed for open petroleum products. Any applications involving open transmission fluids, oils, etc. need to be examined by the applications group for suitable protection.
  • Console dimensions are (WxDxH) 66 x 58 x 193 inches/ 26 x 23 x 76 centimeters
  • Specifications subject to change without notice.
  • LN2 is available as an option on all Thermal Shock Chamber models with the temperature Range is -73°C to +177°C (-99°F to +350°F) in the Cold/Hot Zone and +60°C to +200°C (+140°F to +392°F) in the Hot Zone.

Performance Notes

  • The Thermotron reference test load consists of 12-gauge steel plates. Each pound of steel has 65 square inches of exposed surface area. The test load is oriented in the product carrier with the air flow parallel to the steel plates. The load is distributed between the two product carriers.
  • The weight of any additional shelves must be included as part of the test load shown above.
  • Capacity is based on the product being stabilized at the extreme temperatures before transferring. No ambient dwell is used.
  • When using LN2 assist, the smaller mechanical refrigeration systems will maintain low temperatures. LN2 is required to meet recovery times.
  • Tests are run in accordance with MIL-STD 883, Method 1010.6 and MIL-STD 202, Method 107G.
  • For LN2 only Thermal Shock Chambers, the maximum load is with LN2 cooling and no mechanical refrigeration.
  • 3. 9 point product recovery in 15 minutes or less using IC chip product load. The load is distributed between the two product carriers.
  • The weight of any additional shelves must be included as part of the test load shown above.
  • Capacity is based on the product being stabilized at the extreme temperatures before transferring. No ambient dwell is used.
