PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Receiver Checker will work primarily in one of the following areas of specialization, but will cross train to be proficient in each area.Receiving:
- Receive in all types of material through loading dock both purchased and fabricated. Check the goods against the receiving documents as to identification, part number accuracy, quality, and accuracy of count Package in bundles per established guidelines.
- Visually inspect goods received for damage from shipping or handling and process discrepancy reports as needed.
- Key receipts of goods into computer, key and process back order information, process packing list and other paperwork as needed.
- Contact other departments regarding discrepancies, incorrect or missing paperwork, or to obtain additional information.
- Be able to locate and relocate parts by type, size, and usage as needed in the warehouse location system.Shipping:
- Pull, package, and prepare all types of parts for shipping to customers, vendors, field offices, and other miscellaneous destinations, both local and international.
- Fill out all shipping documents and paperwork involved correctly, according to established Company and Federal/State regulations.
- Contact other departments regarding discrepancies, incorrect or missing paperwork and/or parts, or to obtain additional information.
- Communicate work with the Parts and Materials Departments on the scheduling of work through the area.
- Order and maintain supply of packaging materials used in the area (lead person).
- Operate manifest machine for shipments and produce end of day summary document.RMT’s, IR’s, and Returns:
- Responsible for the tracking and dissemination of all parts returned from customers for repair and/or return.
- Responsible for tracking, resolution, and dissemination of all rejected parts.
- Maintaining the accuracy of Warehouse 99 inventory and computer transactions associated with it.
- Receiving and proper dissemination of all parts returned to stock from customers and from field offices.
- Perform inspection on parts received that require mandatory inspection.Inventory Analyst:
- Maintain the cycle counting process in Warehouse and Sheet Metal areas.
- Resolve and correct all inventory discrepancies using established guidelines.
- Use and understand all reports and queries developed to find and correct possible procedural problems causing inventory inaccuracies.
- Maintain an established inventory accuracy in the warehouse on hand quantities.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge and ability to perform stocking and pulling procedures.
- Use hand truck and forklift truck to keep the dock area cleaned out and to load and unload trucks.
- Maintain floor stock and expense records by adding/deleting to master lists.
- Responsible for location, know location parts (knowledge of warehouse layout and parts).
- Organize parts (have numbers, cycle by dates, etc.), to insure warehouse inventory counts are correct, location maintenance (verifications).
