HOLLAND, Mich. – Thermotron Industries announces the release of the RSL-16 Portable Shaker, a portable, integrated system for HALT/HASS with a new or existing Thermotron environmental test chamber with the universal port option.
Temperature, humidity, and repetitive shock vibration testing can be performed over the chamber’s full temperature range, -70 to 180 degrees Celsius. The shaker is removable allowing the chamber to be used on its own.
“It takes two people less than three minutes to set up and less than two-and-a-half to disassemble it,” said David Kujawski, Thermotron’s marketing manager. “This shaker was built for use in a chamber and designed for full air movement around the product attached to it.”
The 16-inch by 16-inch table weighs 150 pounds. Acceleration levels are up to 60 Grms and 10,000 Hz.
Users can program and control temperature, humidity, and vibration profiles on one screen with Thermotron’s Windows®-based 8800 programmer controller.
“What’s beneficial about this integrated system is that all parts—chamber, shaker, and controller—are all manufactured by Thermotron,” Kujawski said. “This is a cost-effective option for introducing and performing HALT and HASS.”
