Thermotron AGREE Test Chambers provide the flexibility to adapt to your ever-changing environmental testing requirements. The chambers are available in temperature-only or temperature and humidity configurations. Rapid thermal change rates of 5°C up to 30°C are available. These environmental chambers can become vibration chambers when seamlessly integrated with a Thermotron electrodynamic shaker or repetitive shock vibration table.

This diversifies the chamber’s utility because it can be used as a standalone temperature environmental chamber or for combined environmental testing. Thermotron AGREE Chambers were originally designed for the defense and aerospace industry to perform temperature, humidity, and vibration tests conforming to MIL-STD 781 and 883. Since then, AGREE Vibration Chambers have been adapted to perform reliability, qualification, and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) for a wide range of industries including electronics, aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications industries.

8800 Chamber Data Acquisition (DAQ)

Thermotron’s streamlined data acquisition system (DAQ) provides users with more usable data than ever before. Enhance the graphing capabilities of the Windows®-based 8800 Controller by overlaying your product’s input, output, and temperature data on a single screen. The same data can be exported to various Microsoft® applications. Available on most chambers, the DAQ features pluggable screw terminal connections, standard jacks, thermocouples, and more. The DAQ panel is easy to set up with the 8800 Controller to begin testing your product.
Boost Cooling and Heating

Boost cooling and heating options enhance performance on select environmental test equipment. Liquid nitrogen Boost and Carbon Dioxide Boost are cooling injection systems that enable faster pull-downs and product temperature change rates in an environmental chamber.
Adding the extra heat feature to your environmental chamber accelerates the test chamber's heating capabilities to improve air and product temperature change rates.
Cart

Thermotron offers several cart options for various product lines. Product Loading Carts are used in lieu of a solid AGREE chamber floor. The cart can support heavy product weights that would be cumbersome to put in and take out of the chamber. This also increases chamber utility as it will be ready to interface with an electrodynamic or repetitive shock shaker. A Benchtop Cart is an option feature for customers who do not have counter space to place a benchtop environmental chamber. A cart is available for all models.
Custom Colors
You are probably used to only seeing a Thermotron environmental chamber or electrodynamic shaker in just one of two colors – blue and gray. But we can in fact paint your piece of test equipment any color you like, provided you let us know which one.

Custom paint color is an available optional feature for equipment purchased from Thermotron, and the process is quite simple. During the quote process, you work with our Sales and Application Engineers and simply notify them what color you want your test equipment to be painted. We primarily work with RAL and FED-STD-595C – Color Standards, but if you provide us with a color and the standard it comes from we will work with our paint supplier to ensure that your environmental chamber or electrodynamic shaker is painted your specified color.

So, why would you want to have your climate chamber painted a different color? There are many reasons here are a few of the most common:

Branding – customers want to have their equipment painted to promote their brand, and incorporate their branding colors into items their staff and customers see every day.

Grouping – Some customers with many Thermotron chambers in their lab need them to be color coordinated by function, ability, or size.

Safety – We have also had customers request that only certain parts of the environmental chamber or electrodynamic shaker are painted. For example we had a customer paint all electrical panels bright orange to highlight potential safety hazards.

There are many unique reasons to specify a paint color on your environmental chamber or electrodynamic shaker, almost as many as there are colors. What color would you put on your test equipment?
Door Types

When purchasing a chamber from Thermotron you have lots of options. One of those options is what kind of door you want on your AGREE or Walk-In Chamber. Choose from hinged, bi-parting, or vertical lift to accommodate your product and application! Custom door options are available on other units, like SE-Series. Contact your local sales representative for more information.
Low Humidity

A standard humidity system is designed to enable temporary operation down to -10°C dewpoint in a humidity chamber. A low humidity option will enable extended operation down to 5 grains of moisture per pound of dry air minimum limitation and humidity range from 5% RH to 98% RH. The low humidity option on a humidity chamber incorporates a dry air purge for ultra low dewpoints. It also adds a bubbler humidity system which allows small amounts of moisture to be added to the air in the humidity chamber for low humidity control. This eliminates problems associated with adding hot steam to a cold environment which creates two problems: heat that needs to be taken out of the system and steam generator oscillation.
Oxygen Monitor

The Oxygen Monitor is mounted on the outside of the chamber when using LN₂or CO₂ Boost to ensure that the level of oxygen in the room is at a safe level or chamber users. It is a standard safety feature.
Quiet Package

A quiet package is an optional feature that minimizes the noise levels coming from environmental test equipment. Depending on the equipment (electrodynamic shaker or climate chamber) and the size of the environmental test equipment, the quiet package will look and vary in functionality. System Monitor

Thermotron's built-in System Monitor streamlines troubleshooting by providing continuous self-diagnostics on refrigeration suction/discharge pressures and temperatures. This reduces maintenance and troubleshooting time by indicating the system malfunction or trip. The feature also tracks running time to aid in preventive maintenance scheduling and restarts the chamber after nuisance trip or power loss (different restarts can be programmed as well).
Adjustable Height

As an optional feature of an AGREE environmental chamber, the Adjustable Height options raise and lower the test chamber's workspace (testing compartment) while leaving the machinery in place. This is helpful for product loading with a cart or interface a vibration shaker table with the environmental chamber. This is also useful when an electrodynamic shaker has a test requirement for a horizontal sliptable and a vertical orientation test (with or without a head expander) that require the environmental chamber workspace to be different heights. This versatility from a single environmental chamber manufacturer reduces capital investment costs.
Air Cooled Condenser

Air Cooled Condensers for environmental chambers take the heat of out the equipment's refrigeration system. On smaller and standard Thermotron environmental equipment, the air-cooled condenser is located inside the environmental chamber. A remote air-cooled condenser is available for equipment with higher performance requirements or larger compressors. Water-cooled condensers may also be available, depending on environmental chamber model. Contact your local sales representative for more information.
Cable Notch

The cable notch is an optional feature located on the latch side of the environmental chamber in the door frame. The notch provides easy removal of cabling to the exterior of the environmental chamber. A plug is included to cover the open section and preserve the environment inside the test chamber.
CSA or CE Electrical Codes

For equipment going to Canada or the European Union, Thermotron can build the equipment to CSA or CE electrical codes to ensure the safety of equipment users and the facility.
Door Interlocks

As an optional safety feature the door interlocks prevent the chamber door from opening during a test.
Dry Air Purge

This option enables reduced moisture operation at low temperatures, dewpoints at -40°C. The system consists of a flow meter, regulator and control solenoid for program operation. It utilizes compressed air as the supply source and is very helpful in minimizing moisture in the chamber. This feature is built within the chamber, so no additional floor space is needed.
Mechanical Interlock

A mechanical interlock is a standard safety for chambers operating with Liquid Nitrogen (LN₂). When LN₂ is being used, the chamber door is automatically locked and will not open until all of the LN₂ has been cycled out of the chamber to protect the chamber operator. This feature is standard on AST for HALT and HASS equipment and will be automatically added when LN₂Boost is used in other chambers.
Product Dewpoint Control
The Product Dewpoint Control (PDC) feature uses algorithms programmed into the 8800 programmer controller to automatically maintain the product to be warmer than the surrounding air. This allows the 8800 to implement the best possible ramp rate to the desired temperature/relative humidity conditions while preventing condensation on the products under test. In the simplest configuration, the product temperature control sensor becomes the PDC sensor when in dewpoint mode. In these chambers, a second control module was added so that 7 additional thermocouples could be distributed inside the chamber. The 8800 algorithm then uses a minimum of eight thermocouple readings (PDC thermocouple + 7 extras) to maintain the correct offset between product temperature and chamber air temperature. The PDC option will be available to customers like other options we provide such as humidity, low humidity, purge, etc. PDC can be retrofitted to existing chambers if the software is updated.

8800 controller algorithms operate the chambers heat and humidity systems in such a way that the chamber air dewpoint remains at a temperature that is lower than the products temperature. Thus, prevents condensation from forming.

Shelves

Often times products under test need to be placed on shelves or racks for optimized testing. Shelves and racks are custom made for each application. Every chamber comes with one adjustable shelf, more can easily be added.
